We are studying ancient Greece and it wouldn’t be complete without some Greek food right? So today Jeremy and I headed down to Cafe Opa, a small Greek cafe in Downey. The food was pretty good and it was a fun excuse to get out of the house!

Jeremy had been making a ceramic keepsake every year at his old school so I wanted the tradition to continue. He signed up for a 5wk class in the city of Lakewood and has been enjoying using his creativity. I think we’ll do it next year before Christmas for gifts!

The exciting thing of the day….. a new Costco opening at Lkwd Center Mall… Jeremy and I went….you know…to support the community……and have a lesson in economics… 
Turns out we were there 3 hrs and didn’t feel like doing school work after all the excitement….what with all the cool free samples and shopping…. so instead we went paddleboarding with some friends who also had bought a new surfboard with us that day! ….Homeschooling….. gotta love it!!

Jeremy had fun at archery class at El Dorado Park today. It was a special themed day for Valentines. The instructor was a 4x olympic champion.

Jeremy just started cadets this year. It’s like a Christian boy scout troop. On Saturday he learned how to do archery and shoot a bee bee gun.
