June 2008

Steve won an award at work so we celebrated at Downtown Disney Saturday Night. It was fun. We ate at Steve’s favorite restaurant – Rainforest Cafe - this time we finally got to sit right in front of the elephants – Steve’s favorite animal:) Later on Jeremy got his first Build a Bear Monkey – I call him Coconuts but he calls him Flame. We saw Wall-e on Friday. It was cute. I think I liked KungFu Panda better though.

Jeremy’s favorite food is Wienerschnitzel!! I had never eaten there until he arrived!

It’s just down the street so we can walk there and have lunch together. Who knew chili cheese fries were so delicious?

Today we went kayaking with the Aardema’s in Alamitos Bay. It was fun. The weather was great. Not too hot or cold-thank you God :)  Christine and I got a good arm workout too :0)  Then the kids had fun splashing around and jumping in the bay and we had a picnic. Maybe next time we’ll try those new paddle boards. Those look cool.

Wow, what a full week we’ve had! Jeremy attended El Dorado Tennis Camp all week and did very well. He learned some new skills and won first place in his group! Steve took off work the last day to watch his tournament.

Then today was Opening Day for Lakewood Sumer Sports League. Jeremy is in a baseball team for the summer. The Angels. They had a ceremony and then a community festival where the fire department, sheriff’s office and bmx racing bikes came and did demonstrations. It was fun!

This movie requires Adobe Flash for playback.

This guy did a show at our local library where we signed up for their summer reading program. He was a crack up! Actually Jeremy is in four summer reading programs :) Gotta keep him busy!!

Jeremy turned 8years old on Saturday June 14th. We took the boys from his class to Chuck E Cheese on Thursday the last day of school. It went really well. Then on Saturday we had all the family come over for dinner. We had catered food from The Loft Restaurant. It was delicious! Jeremy’s theme for this year was army. Grandma made the cake and Jeremy decorated it with army regalia.

My niece Sarah graduated from Valley Christian on Wed. I can’t believe Danna and Roger have two daughters graduated from high school already. Seems like yesterday they were toddlers.
